Provincial nominee program

Individuals who qualify as skilled workers and wish to settle and gain permanent status in one of Canada’s provinces can use the Provincial Nominee Program as an alternative method of Canadian immigration.

Caregivers

Caregivers undertake essential work for Canada as a country. These employees provide assistance and care to seniors, children, and others. Canada has three programs to assist caregivers in obtaining employment and Permanent Residence.

Family Sponsorship

Family sponsorship is a type of immigration that enables family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to enter the country. A person with PR can sponsor their family to come to Canada.

Express Entry

Eligibility:

 Complete the language requirements in English, French, or both.

 Have at least two years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade in the last five years.

 Meet the National Occupation Classification’s job description for that skilled trade.

 Have a valid job offer of at least one year’s full-time employment OR a certificate of qualification in that skilled trade.

PNP (Provincial Nominee Program)

Eligibility:

 Must be at least 21 years old.

 You should have scored at least the minimum on the point assessment grid for the province you are applying for.

 Your job should be on that province’s NOC (National Occupation Code) list.

 You must have relevant work experience.

 According to CLB, you should have sufficient language proficiency.

Eligibility:

 Relevant Work Experience

 Relevant qualifications

 Clearance in relevant language

 Proof of fund

 Job offer from the designated employer

 Settlement Plan

 Certificate of Endorsemen

Caregivers

Eligibility:

 Adequate experience and training to do the job

 Knowledge of either English or French

 Meet the Educational Requirements

 Not being inadmissible to Canada

 Have a valid job offer

Family Sponsorship

Eligibility:

 Invitation Letter

 Financial support document

 Agreement of mutual obligations and responsibilities

 Undertaking stating to provide the basic needs of family members being sponsored

RURAL AND NORTHERN IMMIGRATION

There are 4 steps to applying for permanent residence under this pilot.

  • Q1.IRCC eligibility requirements

    a). You need 1 year of continuous work experience (at least 1,560 hours) in the past 3 years.

    b). The hours must be in 1 occupation, but they can be with different employers.

    c). If you worked in Canada, you must have been allowed to work in Canada.

    d). The hours must be over a period of at least 12 months. These working hours can be inside or outside Canada.

    e). Don’t count hours you weren’t paid for (volunteering or unpaid internships don’t count)

    f). Don’t count hours when you were self-employed

    g). Your work experience must include most of the main duties and all the essential duties listed in your National Occupational Classification (NOC)


    Language requirements

    Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB), IELTS

  • Q2.Find an eligible job with an employer in one of the participating communities.

    a). Must be fulltime

    b). Non seasonal

    c). Permanent

    d). Wage must meet or exceed the minimum wage.

  • Q3.Once you have a job offer, submit your application for recommendation to the community.
